Quora: What is your most interesting theory on the afterlife?

“It’s life, Jim, but not as we know it.”

My pet theory is this:

That once we die, all our experiences, emotions and thoughts, all the information that we contain, goes back to the source.

The source being a giant network of information, of which we are only a node.

This would also explain the ability of some to ‘remember’ their past lives, as the information contained in the node John Ellis, can still be accessed by another node on the same network, like Henrietta Persson.

So it may not be that you are ‘remembering’ your previous life, but that you are able to access the experiences of another node in your network.

The afterlife would then be that you revert to a state of pure information.

Another possibility is that life is a videogame, and that there is no afterlife.
Just as a videogame has many levels, we have many lives. Each level, each life, has its own challenges and objectives.

So the afterlife in this case, is simply another life, and the game goes on forever.
